Gen3 Marketing are introducing controls on our data and how it is used on employee owned devices. This article will help you register your device so you can access company data on your Android device.
Requirements
- An Android Phone/Tablet that supports Android 12 or greater. (Please note, this requirement will be updated to Android 13 in January 2025.)
- 5th February 2024 Android Security Update (Please note, this requirement will be updated monthly and increase by one month, i.e. in September 2024, the device will need to be patched to the security update released on 5th March 2024.)

Instructions
From the Play Store, install the Intune Company Portal app.
Once the app has downloaded and installed, tap Open to open the app.
Tap Allow to allow notifications from Company Portal, then tap SIGN IN to sign in with your Gen3 Marketing account.
After you have signed in successfully, you will then see the following screen, tap BEGIN to start setting up your work profile.
You will then see a screen informing you what information Gen3 Marketing will be able to see about your device. If you are happy to continue, tap CONTINUE.
Your device will then start to set up a work profile, you will have another chance to review terms around what Gen3 Marketing can see on your device. If you are happy with these, tap Accept and continue.
Your device will then setup the work profile. Once it has completed, tap Next to continue.
Your device will then return to the Company Access Setup screen. Tap CONTINUE to activate the work profile.
Your device will then activate the work profile.
Once your device has finished activating the work profile, you will receive a notification asking you to secure your work profile.
You will then see a screen telling you the setup is complete. Tap DONE to continue.
You will then see a screen informing you about your new work setup. Tap GOT IT once you are happy to continue.
You will then be redirected back to the Company Portal home screen. This will show you the current device as well as any other devices you have registered in Intune.
Next, go into your devices notifications and tap the notification to Secure your work profile.
Enter your device PIN on the Secure your work profile screen which appears and tap the Enter key.
This completes the setup of your work profile.
Next, we will walk you through setting up Outlook in your work profile.
Open your app drawer, you will see a separate Work tab where you will find your work applications.
Tap the Work tab to see the work applications installed by default.
You will see that Outlook is installed by default as part of the Gen3 Marketing work profile. Tap the Outlook icon to open the app. Then, tap ADD ACCOUNT to begin adding your email account to your device.
Your email account may be automatically discovered by Outlook, if so, tap CONTINUE. Otherwise, type in your email address in the Enter your email text box, then tap CONTINUE.
After your account has been successfully added, you will see a screen asking if you would like to add another account. If you would like to, tap ADD and follow the instructions to add another account, otherwise tap MAYBE LATER.
Next, you will see a screen called Get Access. On this screen, if there are any issues with your device, for example if your device is not up to date, this will be reported here along with information on how to resolve it. We will have more information on how to resolve common issues in a separate guide which will be available soon. If your device is good to go, you will see the following screen.
Tap CONTINUE on the above screen, then you will asked to create a PIN to safely protect the app. Create a PIN with a minimum of 4 digits and then confirm the PIN.
Once you have confirmed your PIN and tapped OK, Outlook will be successfully set up and you will see your email inbox.

You can use the Play Store app in the work tab to install the other Office apps on your device if you do not have them installed currently.
